The DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR combines the cutting edge technology of High Definition (HD) with the convenience and ingenuity of a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Use the DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver to record your favorite shows; then when you’re ready, watch away…even in high-end HD quality.
The DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR can hold a huge number of shows; up to 50 hours of HD or 200 hours of SD programming. The DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver not only effortlessly records your favorite shows; you can also pause and rewind up to 90 minutes of live TV.
DIRECTV HD Programming lets you enjoy your favorite programs in theater-quality picture and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, thanks to HDMI and Optical Audio outputs. The DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver outputs are configured for 480p, 480i, 720p, and 1080i formats.

Use the standard Universal IR remote to eliminate the clutter of multiple remotes on your coffee table. The remote not only will control your DIRECTV receiver, VCR, and DVD player but also lets you make precise picture adjustments to whatever you are watching.
An extra set of AV outputs makes expanding your home entertainment system easy. Use the 3-day APG to search out and schedule your favorite programs in advance, so they won’t be missed.
If you subscribe to Caller ID, the receiver will display the number of incoming calls on the screen. Finally, you can decide whether or not the call is important enough to interrupt your viewing pleasure.

Installation process for
4 Room DIRECTV® System with a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR (Lease): |
- Order your DIRECTV System with professional installation. You can order online or if you have additional questions, call us at the number at the top of the screen.
- We arrange for a professional installer from your general area to contact you within 3 to 5 business days after you place your order with us.
- Your satellite system requires a clear line-of-sight to the southern sky. An installer will determine this for you during installation.
- As a convenience, we will place a customer care call to you on the 5th business day, confirming that an installer has contacted you.

Standard professional installation includes:*
- Mounting and grounding your satellite dish on an exterior vertical wall of a single family dwelling.
- Every aspect of the installation is in full compliance with the National Electric Code.
- Installing up to 125 feet of RG-6 cable to one (1) DIRECTV® System receiver ("the Primary DIRECTV Receiver") through one exterior and one interior wall.
- Routing of cable through a standard wood frame structure or a single layer of masonry.
- All structural cable penetrations are weather sealed with UV resistant RTV silicone.
- Connection of the Primary DIRECTV Receiver.
- Connecting Primary DIRECTV Receiver to phone jack, if receiver is within 25 feet of phone jack**.
- The satellite receiver's remote has been programmed to work with the customer's equipment (i.e. TV, VCR).
- Maximizing signal strength and activating the account for DIRECTV® programming.
- At least 20 minutes of customer training on the operation of their system.
- For DIRECTV DVR or HD DVR orders, a dual run of up to one hundred twenty-five feet of swept tested RG-6 between the LNB and primary TV is supplied by the installer.
Standard professional installation does not include:
- Install or relocation of additional receivers.
- The splitting of existing or new satellite lines.
- Extra RG-6 cable over 125 feet per run.
- Mounting and grounding the DIRECTV System 18" mini-dish on any surface of the home where a 30' ladder can not reach.
- Drilling through more than one exterior and one interior wall.
- Providing any enhancements to existing phone system. (i.e. upgrading a phone line to support a 56K modem. There will be an additional charge to customer if no suitable existing connection is available.)
- Connections to stereo, VCRs and/or various audio components that are not co-located with the DIRECTV Receiver.
- Special moldings or other cosmetic hardware used to hide exposed cables.
- Non-penetrating roof mount, pole mount or chimney mount (unless required for line of sight).
- Removal and/or repair of previously mounted equipment (without Waiver of Liability signed off by customer).
