TiVo's Recording Features
[c_fnt1v] color="#5d5d5d">There are many ways to look through TiVo's program listing to easily find your favorite shows to set up for recording. Unlike recording programs with a VCR, with TiVo all you need to know is the program's name, channel, genre or time.
TiVo's "Season Pass" is guaranteed to automatically record every episode of a series, no matter how far into the future they are broadcast. The Receiver will keep shows until it is full, at which time it will delete any shows specifically requested, followed by the oldest shows. TiVo always saves shows you requested a minimum of two days. However, if you would like to control how long a record program is saved, you can tell TiVo how long to save any specific show - even forever.
TiVo has the capability to notify you whenever you try to record a show that conflicts with a previously scheduled event and gives you the opportunity to resolve the conflict.

On-Screen Guide

The on-screen guide provides a brief recap of each show or see a complete program schedule for one channel on a single page. TiVo menu has extensive search options including, search by name, category, time or channel.
Offer Feedback
When you begin rating your favorite shows with Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down all your preferences are saved locally on your Receiver. Your individual TiVo Receiver matches these preferences with the program data it receives from the TiVo Broadcast Center to make recommendations suited uniquely for you. Again, this process happens locally in the TiVo Receiver in your home. TiVo Keeps a list of suggested programs under "TiVo Suggestions" and, if space is available, TiVo will automatically record suggestions so that the receiver is alway full of good shows.
Phone Connection
The TiVo Service requires the use of a phone line to receiver information and software it needs to run. The toll free call for information during setup will last 10-20 minutes, depending on the number of channels you receive, and each daily call after that will only l |
